R. C. (Ray) Fisher founded Fisher Topsoil in 1966. In the early years topsoil was the main product screened and sold in the Belmont, Dorchester and Harrietsville area. The interim years saw the business grow in size, expanding to the London area. The product mix expanded adding mulches and natural stone products. 1988-89 began a new era when the 258 Exeter Road location opened as a retail outlet.
Fisher Topsoil added Landscape Supplies to the name and continued the expansion of products. Ground covers, mulches, patio stones and aggregates broadened the scope of products available from Fisher Topsoil & Landscape Supplies. The co-owners incorporated the business in 1995 and expanded to 1635 Fanshawe Park Road, West, Hyde Park in 1998.
At incorporation the business became known as Fisher Landscape & Golf Supplies with the addition of Golf Course mixes to the product line. In 2005 Oaks Concrete Products, interlocking stone and retaining walls joined the Fisher family of products. The success of Fisher Landscape & Golf Supplies can be attributed to on going investment in the business by the co-owners. Customer service, quality landscaping products, competitive pricing best represent the companies Mission Statement.
